Some of you may remember The Lone Ranger show…ok I’m either dating myself or I love vintage TV and films. Maybe it’s a little bit of both. The Lone Ranger was all about helping good people. Saving the day. Rescuing the forgotten. Basically, he was in the customer service business.
We are too and so are you. Whether you make things, dis
tribute things, or provide support for things (or people) you (we) are all in the service business. How well we serve determines the level of our success.
This was the case when we began working with Mastronardi Wines, a leader in the wine making and premium grape supply region of Essex County, Ontario for her custom wine labels.
If location is ‘everything’ they have cultivated grapes along the 42nd north parallel (similar to that of French Riviera, Mendecino California, Tuscany Italy and southern France) giving Lake Erie North Shore the highest accumulation of heat units in Ontario each summer. This Lake effect, along with abundant sunshine, results in the high sugars and ideal acid levels of each varietal. Therefore, an earlier harvest is common and great wines are produced each year that reflect this climate.
To date they have some noteworthy and very prestigious awards: International Gold for their 2004Vidal Ice Wine at the 2007 Sélections Mondiales des Vins, Gold in 2006 for the All Canadian Wine Championship and Silver for the All Canadian Wine Championships with their 2002Merlot, in 2007 the Bronze for their 2005Cabernet Franc Reserve at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, just to mention a few. They take great pride in the product and service they provide.
So it was important to them to find a label supplier that had the capabilities and service levels they required.
